Bio:
Judy Singer has consistently created bright, expressive, and somatic abstractions which have led her to a successful career of 40+ years in the arts. After completing her formal training at York University in the 70s, she began exhibiting widely across Canada and the USA. It is during this time where she began to form relationships with several other successful abstract artists (such as Helen Frankenthaler), subsequently becoming included in the circle of study for critics such as the prolific Clement Greenberg and Canadian Joan Murray.

Singer is most notable for being chosen to represent Canada in the 1982 Carnegie International. Additionally, her work can be found in private and corporate collections nationally and internationally. Singer continues her practice in Toronto, where she has reconnected with the root of her practice, now focused on drawing.
