Nicole Collins is heavily engaged in exploring process and materials. A multi-disciplinary artist, Collins works primarily in paint to explore the effects of time, using techniques that draw the viewer's attention to decay and renewal, by carving, scraping, peeling and reconstructing surfaces. Praised for the "subtlety of their lyricism and the opulence of their metaphor," Collins' paintings speak to themes of accumulation, excavation and deconstruction. Collins received her BFA from the University of Guelph and her MFA from the University of Toronto. Her works have been internationally exhibited in Tokyo, New York, London and Zurich, among others.

Collins' work is represented by General Hardware Contemporary Art in Toronto.
